Adrian Racoviță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Racoviță in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edgar Pinho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Claudinho Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th match minute, Tanquinhos AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Terra to maneuver through the defense. Tanquinhos AD's Edgar Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Racoviță in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Tanquinhos AD's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Zanette came free, but Edgar Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Adrian Racoviță managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piauna SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Racoviță was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Pinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Digo Coelho during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Tanquinhos AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Digo Coelho to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Piauna SC's Roberto Meirelles tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Adrian Racoviță could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Edgar Pinho however easily saved by the left post. Adrian Racoviță's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Edgar Pinho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Edgar Pinho was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Adrian Racoviță capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adrian Racoviță really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Adrian Racoviță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Pinho having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Marcelo Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Piauna SC's Adrian Racoviță got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Adrian Racoviță made the kick off in the second half. Adrian Racoviță might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Pinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Racoviță ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the game, Inácio de Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tanquinhos AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piauna SC the free kick. The supporters of Piauna SC booed when Tanquinhos AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Adrian Racoviță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 72 minutes, Roberto Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piauna SC and the Tanquinhos AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Adrian Racoviță's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar Pinho was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. With a little luck, Piauna SC's Paulinho Soeiro got control of the ball when Marcus Quaresma tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Tanquinhos AD's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Brasil came free, but Edgar Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Racoviță took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Pinho. Edgar Pinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Racoviță in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Pinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Nico Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piauna SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
