In the 17th minute Adrian Racoviță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tibúrcio de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gernando Brasil in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chico Torres saved Bom Repouso Esporte Clube from getting behind. After 27 played minutes Bom Repouso Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Richard de Amorim. Erik Paraense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Paulinho Soeiro made a huge save. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Piauna SC's goalkeeper Paulinho Soeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Jerônimo Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luís Guilherme Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tibúrcio de Souza struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Paulinho Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bom Repouso Esporte Clube. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Guilherme Hermes in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulinho Soeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

With a little luck, Bom Repouso Esporte Clube's Chico Torres got control of the ball when Adrian Racoviță tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Piauna SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
