Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nestor de Queirós got the match started through his kick off. Benedito Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. When Raimundo Simão came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Jaci SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Simão couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Geovânio Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho Brasil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gil Zilles's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute, Nestor de Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Curytiba's Fernandão Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Silvério de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jaci SC's goalkeeper Raimundo Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curytiba's goalkeeper Claudinho Brasil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernandão Cunha in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Quirino saved Jaci SC from getting behind. Gil Zilles struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Claudinho Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaci SC. In the 39th minute, Gil Zilles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gil Zilles to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Curytiba's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Simão came free, but Claudinho Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th match minute, Jaci SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Simões to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Curytiba's Nestor de Queirós dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. A collision led to Curytiba getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. José Vítor Andrade hit a great ball. Raimundo Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Claudinho Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Curytiba's zone, Raimundo Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Brasil came out of the goal and Raimundo Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernandão Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Raimundo Quirino made a huge save. During the 76th minute of the match Geovânio Campidelis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Geovânio Campidelis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 77th match minute, Curytiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. Silvério de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Quirino having to interfere. Raimundo Simão might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Simão ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Curytiba booed when Jaci SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manolo Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th match minute, Curytiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. João Francisco Simões, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
