After having played for 3 minutes, Sílvio Luís Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Planaltina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luís Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Maia in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Vladimir Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uomatoti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Planaltina the free kick. After a rather tough play, Uomatoti's Vladimir Garcia got a free kick in the 6th minute. Raimundo Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tarcisio Veiga's late challenge caught a Planaltina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tarcisio Veiga helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Uomatoti got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Veiga. Sílvio Luís Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Carvalho having to interfere. Norberto Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Martins in the 22nd minute of play forced Planaltina's goalkeeper Eriberto Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sílvio Luís Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Norberto Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Uomatoti's goalkeeper Norberto Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Vale. Eriberto Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Chico Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uomatoti's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilian Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Raimundo Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sílvio Luís Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio Luís Maia to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Planaltina got a freekick which was hit by Giovani de Sena. With a little luck, Planaltina's Eriberto Marinho got control of the ball when Chico Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norberto Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Maia in the 59th minute of the match. If Luiz Paulo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uomatoti's Norberto Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Maia in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luís Maia notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Uomatoti's Norberto Carvalho. Norberto Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eriberto Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Martins in the 70th minute of play. Raimundo Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Norberto Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Maia in the 76th minute of play. Norberto Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Planaltina's zone, Chico Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Marinho came out of the goal and Chico Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Planaltina's Raimundo Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norberto Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tadeu Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Raimundo Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Carvalho having to interfere. In the 94th minute Sílvio Luís Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Uomatoti getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Sandrinho Magalhães hit a great ball. Planaltina's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
