Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cássio Siqueira took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd match minute, Valparaiso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Santos to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, Poxim EC's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Rosado came free, but Cristóvão Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, Valparaiso's Cássio Siqueira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristóvão Marquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Noel Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Faria in the 15th minute of the match. Noel Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 30 minutes, Cássio Siqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valparaiso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Siqueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristóvão Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Siqueira in the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Poxim EC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Mané Aguiar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Siqueira in the 41st minute of play forced Poxim EC's goalkeeper Cristóvão Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cristóvão Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46thth minute of the game Celsinho Ramalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poxim EC's Cristóvão Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Lúcio Faria made the kick off in the second half. Kiko Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Noel Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Faria in the 54th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Alfredão Hoffmann put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Valparaiso fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Poxim EC a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Patrick Leite, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Valparaiso's Noel Félix. 1-1. Kiko Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zézinho Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Cristóvão Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celsinho Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Cristóvão Marquez came out of the goal and Zézinho Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristóvão Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Ramalho in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Elias Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valparaiso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poxim EC the free kick. In the 87th minute, Elias Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Patrick Leite sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Valparaiso's Noel Félix didn't even have to move. In the 89th minute, Celsinho Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Faria in the 93rd minute of play forced Valparaiso's goalkeeper Noel Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick Leite hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Poxim EC's zone, Zézinho Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristóvão Marquez came out of the goal and Zézinho Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valparaiso's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
