If Oscar Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Pimenta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Eduardo Dias's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. If Zeca Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Zeca Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acarai's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeca Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guarana SC's Humberto Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei de Queiroz in the 11th minute of play. Gualter Paraibano hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute Claudinei de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Claudinei de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Dias in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Claudinei de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acarai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Guarana SC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei de Queiroz came free, but Humberto Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Eduardo Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

52 minutes into the match, Guarana SC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei de Queiroz came free, but Humberto Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Acarai's zone, Oscar Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Pimenta came out of the goal and Oscar Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Guarana SC's Leonardo Furtado got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Léo Rossi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Guarana SC's Humberto Pinheiro didn't even have to move. After 68 played minutes Oscar Tinoco rounded Acarai's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Luiz Eduardo Dias took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduardo Pimenta. Eduardo Pimenta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Oscar Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute of the game, Zeca Montenegro landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Tiago Maranhense charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Maranhense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 played minutes Guarana SC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Maranhense. A collision led to Acarai getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gabriel Munhoz hit a great ball. Eduardo Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Tinoco in the 96th minute of play.
