Oscar Tinoco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inácio Mota came out and tried to block the shot, but Oscar Tinoco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Humberto Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Frank Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 minutes, Manfredo Soares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarana SC and the Apuhy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Apuhy booed when Guarana SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Martins in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Apuhy's zone, Oscar Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Mota came out of the goal and Oscar Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Salgado in the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Guarana SC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Salgado came free, but Humberto Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apuhy's Inácio Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Tinoco in the 31st minute of play. Adalberto Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Guarana SC's Leonardo Furtado got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Guarana SC's Humberto Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Martins in the 42nd minute of play. Inácio Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Furtado in the 44th minute of play. Adalberto Martins's late challenge caught a Guarana SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adalberto Martins helped the player get up and apologised. Adalberto Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Tinoco to make the kick off. If Frank Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes of play, Guarana SC's Luiz Eduardo Dias made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inácio Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Allan Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Frank Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moisés Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Frank Salgado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Humberto Pinheiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Apuhy's Adalberto Martins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Humberto Pinheiro. Humberto Pinheiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Adalberto Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Humberto Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Adalberto Martins fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Humberto Pinheiro, passed just outside the right post. Humberto Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adalberto Martins's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Frank Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guarana SC! When the match had been going on for 89 minutes, Apuhy's Ciro Lira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Humberto Pinheiro. Frank Salgado struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Humberto Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apuhy. 95 minutes into the match, Guarana SC's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Martins came free, but Humberto Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Salgado went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The Guarana SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Apuhy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
