Didi Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WAIO. WAIO's João Carlos Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Dorival Quintal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. WAIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manimbu FC the free kick. Dorival Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. WAIO's Dorival Quintal got his second yellow card of the match in the 13th minute. The referee ordered Dorival Quintal off the ground. Dorival Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Didi Quadros came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by WAIO's Décio Freitas. But to his dismay, Décio Freitas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sidney Schmidt took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cipriano Gaspar. Cipriano Gaspar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 43 minutes into the game, Wilton Penha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cipriano Gaspar. Wilton Penha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. WAIO's Rui Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If João Carlos Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui Nogueira made a kick off. WAIO's Cipriano Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Schmidt in the 51st minute of play. Rui Nogueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Didi Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Nogueira ran back to his position shaking his head. When Vito Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the WAIO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. João Carlos Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Manimbu FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Cléber Teles hit a great ball. Rui Nogueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Didi Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Nogueira ran back to his position shaking his head. Décio Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Quadros having to interfere. Vito Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Didi Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vito Nóbrega got free with Didi Quadros in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cipriano Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Schmidt in the 80th minute of the match. In the 84thth minute of the game Charles Matorin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but WAIO's Cipriano Gaspar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rui Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Quadros having to interfere. João Carlos Meira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Didi Quadros came out and tried to block the shot, but João Carlos Meira slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 93rd minute. Despite being the better team, WAIO failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
