The Ibiraci EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clemente Saraiva should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Pedrinho Arósio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Váldson Cavalcante. Faxinalsinho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrinho Arósio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Pedro Luiz Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cacá Bertassi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
