After having played for 10 minutes, Fernando Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jatuaraninha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zézinho Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Severino Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Coelho didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 14th minute. Jatuaraninha's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Jatuaraninha's Fabinho Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Lara in the 20th minute of play. Elias Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Fabinho Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35thth minute of the game Osvaldo Munhoz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jatuaraninha's Fabinho Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute Elias Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabinho Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Favoretto didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Elias Lara came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Gargau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Lara couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gargau booed when Jatuaraninha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Lucas Mangueira sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Fabinho Godoi threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Lucas Mangueira this time. In the 54th match minute, Jatuaraninha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovani Paraense to maneuver through the defense. Anderson Freire lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 56 minutes into the game, one of Jatuaraninha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Elias Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabinho Godoi having to make a save. Elias Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Godoi having to interfere. Geovani Paraense hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Gargau's Lucas Mangueira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Jatuaraninha. 76 minutes into the match, Jatuaraninha's Fernando Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severino Favoretto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Gargau's Fabinho Godoi threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Osvaldo Munhoz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nuno Netto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabinho Godoi. Jatuaraninha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Osvaldo Munhoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Severino Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jatuaraninha fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gargau had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
