In the 5th minute, Fernando Coelho made a precise shot to the right of Cauã Torres. Palmeirinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Percival Tinoco hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Rubinho Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Coelho in the 15th minute of play forced Palmeirinha FC's goalkeeper Cauã Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Oswaldo Terra could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Fabinho Godoi however easily saved by the left post. Fabinho Godoi came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeirinha FC's Oswaldo Terra. But to his dismay, Oswaldo Terra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Palmeirinha FC's Belchior Cordeiro got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Fernando Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Fernando Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Fred Faustino fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmeirinha FC's protests and gave Fred Faustino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jatuaraninha booed when Palmeirinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Faustino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cauã Torres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Coelho went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Jatuaraninha's Fabinho Godoi got control of the ball when Oswaldo Terra tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rubinho Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Jatuaraninha were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zézinho Diniz to strike the kick off in the second half. Oswaldo Terra struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Fabinho Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeirinha FC. Rubinho Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Fabinho Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Rubinho Fernandes made a precise shot to the right of Fabinho Godoi. Jatuaraninha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Zézinho Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Cauã Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Belchior Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Fernando Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zézinho Diniz in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauã Torres saved Palmeirinha FC from getting behind. After 90 minutes of play, Jatuaraninha's Fernando Coelho made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauã Torres was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jatuaraninha walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
