When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Osvaldo Munhoz sped through Palmeirinha FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cauã Torres. In the 9th match minute, Gargau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Palmeirinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Lara came free, but Cauã Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Osvaldo Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Elias Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Lara in the 30th minute of play forced Palmeirinha FC's goalkeeper Cauã Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Palmeirinha FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Belchior Cordeiro hit a great ball. Osvaldo Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Cauã Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gargau. 37 minutes into the match, Palmeirinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Lara came free, but Cauã Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gargau fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Severino Favoretto, was totally fooled by Palmeirinha FC's Delfim de Toledo, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Palmeirinha FC's Rubinho Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rubinho Fernandes made a kick off. Rubinho Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Favoretto having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Oswaldo Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmeirinha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Oswaldo Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Severino Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 67thth minute of the game Oswaldo Terra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gargau's Severino Favoretto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Rubinho Fernandes made a precise shot to the right of Severino Favoretto. Gargau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Rubinho Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diogo Paraíba during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gargau booed when Palmeirinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the game, one of Palmeirinha FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lucas Mangueira shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The supporters of Gargau booed when Palmeirinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes Gargau got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Aparecido. A collision led to Palmeirinha FC getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Fred Faustino hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Palmeirinha FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gargau had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
