Sandrinho de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mangarahy's Gernando de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo Terra in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Mangarahy's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Terra came free, but Gernando de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Ramiro Cabral put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sandrinho de Godoi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Sarmento in the 22nd minute of play forced Itaroquem's goalkeeper Sandrinho de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mangarahy's zone, Léo Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gernando de Sena came out of the goal and Léo Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Ramón Leão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mangarahy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itaroquem the free kick. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mangarahy! Hílton Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Dudu Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Itaroquem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hílton Eger to maneuver through the defense. Sandrinho de Godoi came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Mangarahy's Dudu Sarmento. But to his dismay, Dudu Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Dudu Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangarahy's supporters rose to their feet, but Dudu Sarmento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandrinho de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandrinho de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Cabral in the 87th minute of the match. If Léo Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Sérgio Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gernando de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gernando de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mangarahy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
