Nestor Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adelino Breckenfeld fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 35th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Matheus da Mata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Baiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Rômulo Xavier scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tião Souto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Machado took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tião Souto. Tião Souto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.
In the 52nd minute Juninho Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Botashow fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Tião Souto acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Adelino Breckenfeld. Botashow's Tião Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Paulista in the 95th minute of play. Diego Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Baiano having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Valadares during the 103rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bastos FC's Ulysses Valadares got a free kick in the 103rd minute. It was beautiful to see Botashow's Gerson Maciel in action when he in the 105th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Bastos FC played a much better game than Botashow and deserved their victory. The Botashow players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
