Yan Sabóia struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Carlos Augusto de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quadra. After having played for 12 minutes, Yan Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quadra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yan Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Yan Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Chacorore's zone, Yan Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto de Senna came out of the goal and Yan Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the game, Dráuzio Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chacorore's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quadra the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Daniel de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quadra's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Augusto de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelo Pimenta hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Quadra's Marcelo Pimenta got a free kick in the 29th minute. The audience was convinced that Daniel de Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Augusto de Senna was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The supporters of Quadra booed when Chacorore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quadra's Magno Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Arósio in the 55th minute of play. Yan Sabóia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Augusto de Senna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. When Yan Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Quadra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan Sabóia couldn't finish the play. Daniel de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Chacorore getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Tarcisio Xavier hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Chacorore's Tarcisio Xavier got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Durval Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
