If Dorival Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walmir Leite received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Frederico de Queiroz came out and tried to block the shot, but Walmir Leite slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. In the 42nd minute, Dorival Meireles made a precise shot to the right of Tiago Matos. Fundinho SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 62nd minute Walmir Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Florida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Porto to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Florida's zone, Walmir Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico de Queiroz came out of the goal and Walmir Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmir Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Lucas Saldanha hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Lauro Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florida's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauro Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivo Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tiago Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Luiz Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Many of Florida's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Florida may have spent more time on the ball, but Fundinho SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
