After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Jorginho Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tapiruaba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorginho Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Víktor Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the game, Percival de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alcantara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tapiruaba EC the free kick. Percival de Barros hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Luiz Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Jorginho Xavier made a precise shot to the right of Víktor Rosado. Alcantara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 26th minute Edmílson Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorginho Xavier to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Xavier in the 57th minute of play forced Alcantara's goalkeeper Víktor Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Betinho de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorginho Xavier struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Víktor Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapiruaba EC. In the 62ndth minute of the game Jorginho Xavier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alcantara's Víktor Rosado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 63 in the game by Gualter Pirani from a close distance when the talented Víktor Rosado managed to make a qualified save. Alcantara's players were relieved. Víktor Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorginho Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Rosado having to interfere. Víktor Rosado came out of the goal and Gualter Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorginho Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Rosado having to interfere. Jorginho Xavier might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Víktor Rosado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorginho Xavier ran back to his position shaking his head. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
