Simão Oliveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Duda Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ichu AD's protests and gave Duda Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Duda Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Maurício Moura notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Expressinho's Simão Oliveira. Simão Oliveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 minutes of play, Ichu AD's Maurício Moura made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simão Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 26 minutes, Flávio Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Expressinho and the Ichu AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes, Ichu AD's Maurício Moura shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simão Oliveira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ichu AD reached it. Duda Freitas scored 0-6 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão Oliveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Flávio Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Moura in the 40th minute of play forced Expressinho's goalkeeper Simão Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Júlio Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júlio Pombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Júlio Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurício Mouras short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Simão Oliveira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dalmo Sarmento made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Expressinho's Sidney Donato. Osvaldo Munhoz came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Expressinho's Júlio Pombal. But to his dismay, Júlio Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. After having played for 67 minutes, Júlio Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Expressinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Júlio Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Osvaldo Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício Moura in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Ichu AD fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Ichu AD's Maurício Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Maurício Moura in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Simão Oliveira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Maurício Moura's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Simão Oliveira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 83rd minute Ichu AD were awarded a corner. Maurício Moura went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Aloísio Cerezo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Maurício Mouras short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Simão Oliveira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Pombal in the 92nd minute of play forced Ichu AD's goalkeeper Osvaldo Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidney Donato hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The Expressinho manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ichu AD to win.
