Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Válter Lucas started the match with the kick off. Sydney Rossi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, one of gaxpar FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for gaxpar FC. After a defensive mix-up in gaxpar FC's zone, Adelino Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Diniz came out of the goal and Adelino Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the game, Banabuiu SC's Serafim de Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmir Diniz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Serafim de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. gaxpar FC's Walmir Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Bittencourt in the 21st minute of play. Nilton Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Mangueira in the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Adelino Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banabuiu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Válter Lucas made a precise shot to the right of Walmir Diniz. gaxpar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 33rd minute Adelino Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabino Cardoso in the 35th minute of play forced gaxpar FC's goalkeeper Walmir Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Luisão Bittencourt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Banabuiu SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 40th minute, Válter Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute Válter Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walmir Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Bittencourt in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perivaldo Sanches to make the kick off. Adelino Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Walmir Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, gaxpar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim de Toledo came free, but Walmir Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aírton Mangueira charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aírton Mangueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aírton Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Adelino Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walmir Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válter Lucas in the 63rd minute of play. Nilton Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Sanches in the 64th minute of play. Banabuiu SC's Válter Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute Kiko Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Adelino Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adelino Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walmir Diniz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Banabuiu SC's Luisão Bittencourt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Walmir Diniz. That made the score 0-6 after 75 minutes of play. With a little luck, gaxpar FC's Walmir Diniz got control of the ball when Serafim de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Walmir Diniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisão Bittencourt in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute of the match, Luís Fabiano Travassos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walmir Diniz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, gaxpar FC's Walmir Diniz got control of the ball when Luisão Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute, Banabuiu SC's Luisão Bittencourt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Válter Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Banabuiu SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
