Luiz Fernando Ortiz's late challenge caught a Pesoe EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fernando Ortiz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd minute, Luiz Fernando Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Simão Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio Cosme. Kakaroto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simão Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jairo Simão hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, Pesoe EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Abraão to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Amílton Antunes from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Zé Roberto Peixoto's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Kakaroto FC's Moisés Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Roberto Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juvenal Lago in the 16th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juvenal Lago got free with Zé Roberto Peixoto in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Luiz Fernando Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kakaroto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fernando Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Roberto Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Pesoe EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kakaroto FC:s goal. The referee gave Kakaroto FC a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Juvenal Lago, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pesoe EC's Zé Roberto Peixoto. 1-1. Juvenal Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Peixoto having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Pedro Luiz de Queirós dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Roberto Peixoto, 2-1. Simão Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Tomás Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kakaroto FC's Cássio Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Moura in the 38th minute of play. When Moisés Marinho came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Kakaroto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Marinho couldn't finish the play. Vivaldo Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Peixoto having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juvenal Lago was the one to do the kick off. Téo Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Pesoe EC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz de Queirós came free, but Zé Roberto Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juvenal Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Zé Roberto Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Kakaroto FC booed when Pesoe EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moisés Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Juvenal Lago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Roberto Peixoto was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Pesoe EC's Zé Roberto Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Lago in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Kakaroto FC's goalkeeper Cássio Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jairo Simão. Zé Roberto Peixoto came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Kakaroto FC's Juvenal Lago. But to his dismay, Juvenal Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Moisés Marinho struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Zé Roberto Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kakaroto FC. Pedro Luiz de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Zé Roberto Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pesoe EC's Pedrinho Abraão got a free kick in the 74th minute. When Kakaroto FC's Juvenal Lago in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pesoe EC's goalie prevented a goal. Kakaroto FC's Cássio Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Moura in the 77th minute of play. Cássio Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th match minute, Kakaroto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Luís Eger's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Cássio Cosme - 3-2 was put on the score board in the 80th minute. Zé Roberto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Félix in the 85th minute of play. Pesoe EC's Zé Roberto Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Lago in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Kakaroto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Moura came free, but Cássio Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juvenal Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Zé Roberto Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kakaroto FC had played much better football throughout.
