Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé de Senna in the 4th minute of play forced Bacurizinho's goalkeeper Arlindo Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dedé de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Alagoano having to interfere. Arlindo Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Sanches in the 9th minute of play. Catirina's Miguel Sanches managed to work through Bacurizinho's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Miguel Sanches dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a rather tough play, Catirina's Vivaldo Lara got a free kick in the 12th minute. Flávio Baiano hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Catirina's Lino Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34thth minute of the game Dedé de Senna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bacurizinho's Arlindo Alagoano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dedé de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arlindo Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedé de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Miguel Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Alagoano having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Maria Furtado was the one to do the kick off. In the 80th match minute, Bacurizinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Arlindo Cordeiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arlindo Alagoano. Bacurizinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dedé de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Catirina's Dedé de Senna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arlindo Alagoano narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
