Fabrício Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo de Andrade in the 9th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Vista Alegre got a freekick which was hit by Roger Catarinense. 12 minutes into the match, Marumby's Adolfo de Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabrício Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 13 played minutes Marumby got a freekick which was hit by Erik de Alcântara. A hard shot by Acácio Neves from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Aírton Vinhas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Pinho in the 15th minute of play forced Marumby's goalkeeper Aírton Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adolfo de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Marumby booed when Vista Alegre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Germano Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marumby's goalkeeper Aírton Vinhas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vista Alegre's Fabrício Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Veloso in the 26th minute of play. Fabrício Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Veloso in the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roger Catarinense during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolfo de Andrade made a kick off. After 55 played minutes Vista Alegre got a freekick which was hit by Tales Valladares. In the 58th minute, Filipe Veloso made a precise shot to the right of Fabrício Mendes. Vista Alegre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Germano Berger fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marumby's protests and gave Germano Berger a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Marumby's Germano Berger got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Marumby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Acácio Neves was slow to take the kick. During this time Vista Alegre's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Vista Alegre's corner Acácio Neves fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aírton Vinhas quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Adolfo de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marumby's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrício Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aírton Vinhas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wellington Pinho went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Marumby's zone, Wellington Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Vinhas came out of the goal and Wellington Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vista Alegre's Roger Catarinense suffered a sore thigh after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Tarcisio Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marumby's protests and gave Tarcisio Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. Tarcisio Gerber hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Donato Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton Vinhas having to interfere. With his leg Fabrício Mendes managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Marumby's Filipe Veloso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 95 minutes, Adolfo de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marumby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo de Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adolfo de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Fabrício Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
