Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Furtado started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Quajara booed when Guayra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael França didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Nuno Sampaio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quajara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After having played for 8 minutes, Nuno Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quajara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Guayra booed when Quajara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Manuel Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quajara's Nuno Sampaio managed to work through Guayra's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nuno Sampaio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Luizinho das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Pedro Luís Vieira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adilson Penha. Quajara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Quajara! Adilson Penha went to the wrong direction when Pedro Luís Vieira was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Sebastião de Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guayra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quajara the free kick. After a rather tough play, Guayra's Sebastião de Lima got a free kick in the 34th minute. Manuel Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Paranaense took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fabiano Cardoso. Luiz Fabiano Cardoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 39th match minute, Quajara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. João Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson Penha having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Paranaense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, João Furtado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience was convinced that Nuno Sampaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fabiano Cardoso was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Rony Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Adilson Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guayra. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Paranaense in the 65th minute of play forced Guayra's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nuno Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Quajara booed when Guayra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Guayra's Rony Ortiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adilson Penha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guayra's Rony Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quajara's Adilson Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Furtado in the 81st minute of play. Fabinho Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Nuno Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quajara's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fabiano Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Quajara fully deserved thier win.
