The wind increased when Ronaldo Barros made the kick off in the second half. Gilberto Pernambucano struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Júlio Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapagipe. Vivaldo Rosado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. Itapagipe's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Júlio Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Pernambucano in the 64th minute of the match. With his leg Júlio Barreto managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Itapagipe's Vivaldo Rosado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Ronaldo Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Meirim's goalkeeper Júlio Barreto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vivaldo Rosado. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Rosado got free with Júlio Barreto in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Júlio Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Pernambucano in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Dino Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Viana's late challenge caught a Meirim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Viana helped the player get up and apologised. Edgar Viana hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Meirim's Raphael Bueno couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Itapagipe. After having played for 91 minutes, Jorginho Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meirim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorginho Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Rosado notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Meirim's Júlio Barreto. Júlio Barreto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 98th minute, Jorginho Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denílson Rossi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The Itapagipe players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
