Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristóvão Gonçalves kicked off to start the match. After 9 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Travassos. Romeu Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gildo Ramos in the 13th minute of play. Cristiano Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Gildo Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute, Gildo Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeu Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Romeu Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Lago in the 26th minute of play. Romeu Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisão Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Prado during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Bueno. 40 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gildo Ramos came free, but Romeu Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cruzeiro Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Gilvan Bueno hit a great ball. Romeu Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Gonçalves in the 46th minute of play. Gildo Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Romeu Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Xapaporuci's Gildo Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeu Nascimento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Romeu Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Samuel Prado from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Romeu Nascimento's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Cristiano Travassos got a free kick in the 64th minute. João Pedro Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gustavo de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Baptista got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gildo Ramos. 72 minutes into the match, Xapaporuci's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Paulo Duarte came free, but Gustavo de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Gustavo Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Nascimento having to interfere. Romeu Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gildo Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Romeu Nascimento made a huge save. Gildo Ramos struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Romeu Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xapaporuci. Romeu Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Xapaporuci's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
