The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateus Moraes got free with Maicon Teles in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomé Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute, João Vítor Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. São Paulo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nando Loyola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The supporters of São Paulo booed when SPORT ERN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 102 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Franças short, quick shot in the 104thth minute got Manfredo Paiva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SPORT ERN fully deserved thier win.
