In the 27thth minute of the game Donatello Ceresso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alfenense Futebol Clube's Jorge Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfenense Futebol Clube's Jorge Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donatello Ceresso in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Donatello Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gangorras SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donatello Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Abelardo Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardinho Quaresma got free with Wilton Nascimento in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Donatello Ceresso made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Amorim. Alfenense Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half Gangorras SC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abelardo Peres to strike the kick off in the second half. Ricardinho Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donatello Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jorge Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Alfenense Futebol Clube's Jorge Amorim got control of the ball when Ricardinho Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilton Nascimento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abelardo Peres went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Donatello Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jorge Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Amorim didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. If Bernardinho Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. Donatello Ceresso might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donatello Ceresso ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle sounded Gangorras SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Alfenense Futebol Clube.
