In the 13th minute, Benê Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marco Paes struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Dorian Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Umaita FC. Colorado SC's Dorian Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Paes in the 45th minute of play. Hermínio Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deivid de Lima having to interfere. After the first half Umaita FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benê Santana to make the kick off. Dorian Barbosa was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Marco Paes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marco Paes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Deivid de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benê Santana in the 63rd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Enrique Albuquerque ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorian Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Elano Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Barbosa having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Colorado SC's zone, Enrique Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorian Barbosa came out of the goal and Enrique Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Marco Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Umaita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Paes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Umaita FC's Marco Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Barbosa having to interfere. Dorian Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Colorado SC's Dorian Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Sarmento in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Umaita FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Colorado SC throughout the match.
