Barruada SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With an all-out effort, Barruada SC's Elano Pirani threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Guilherme Figueiredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Carlos Augusto de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Eduardo Sergipano hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Beleza's Elano Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Beleza from getting a goal against them. Lúcio Severo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Terra having to make a save. Cipriano Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Mauro Terra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lúcio Severo went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Carlos Eduardo Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barruada SC's Mauro Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Severo in the 41st minute of play. Mauro Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Carneiro in the 45th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Lúcio Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Augusto de Mendonça took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elano Pirani. Elano Pirani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Alex Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fábio de Senna fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beleza's protests and gave Fábio de Senna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, one of Beleza:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Beleza. The referee gave Barruada SC a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fábio Terra, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Beleza's Elano Pirani. 2-1. Mauro Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Elano Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto de Mendonça in the 81st minute of play. Mauro Terra made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Alex Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Severo in the 85th minute of play forced Barruada SC's goalkeeper Mauro Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Lúcio Severo came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Beleza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Severo couldn't finish the play. Elano Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Barruada SC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Beleza had controlled the match.
