Elder Paranaense took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lúcio Britto. Lúcio Britto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Arenosa's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Reis came free, but Lúcio Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson de Medeiros hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Arenosa's zone, Elder Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Britto came out of the goal and Elder Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lúcio Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Reis in the 17th minute of the match. Elder Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Britto having to interfere. Cacá Reis scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lúcio Britto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Elder Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Tambari SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Paranaense couldn't finish the play. In the 29thth minute of the game Cacá Reis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arenosa's Lúcio Britto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Elder Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Tambari SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Paranaense couldn't finish the play. Lúcio Britto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Arenosa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tambari SC were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diguinho Cardozo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cacá Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Britto having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cacá Reis in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lúcio Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elder Paranaense got free with Lúcio Britto in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cacá Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elder Paranaense's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Lúcio Britto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Diguinho Cardozo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Elder Paranaense struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Lúcio Britto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tambari SC. Lúcio Britto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cacá Reis's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. A collision led to Tambari SC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Emanuel Meireles hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Cacá Reis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Cacá Reis in the 92nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Lúcio Britto kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-5 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Elder Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Tambari SC fans' excitement grew in the 99th match minute when Tambari SC's Cacá Reis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
