Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jacueira's Ricardinho Gomes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Peixoto's Claudinho Barral in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacueira's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Jacueira booed when Peixoto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Ciro Paraibano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peixoto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacueira the free kick. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peixoto's goalkeeper Armandinho Lucas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Froilan Felipo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfredo Braga in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Carlos Augusto Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Jeremias Umbruso notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Peixoto's Armandinho Lucas. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
The wind increased when Claudinho Barral made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Peixoto getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Manfredo Braga hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, one of Peixoto:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peixoto. The referee gave Jacueira a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gláuber Damião, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Peixoto's Armandinho Lucas. 4-2. Ricardinho Gomes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Jacueira's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 83 minutes into the match, Jacueira's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Braga came free, but Froilan Felipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Claudinho Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Felipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ricardinho Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Augusto Perez took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Froilan Felipo. Froilan Felipo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. The Peixoto players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
