Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After 10 minutes, Deivid Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arejas FC and the Magalhaes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Donatello Cearense sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Arejas FC's Haroldo Leão didn't even have to move. Haroldo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Negri in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Sidnei Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaká Branco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Ronaldo Sampaio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Magalhaes's zone, Kaká Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Sampaio came out of the goal and Kaká Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th match minute, Magalhaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magno Berger to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Armindo Mattos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ronaldo Sampaio, 1-0. Deivid Novaes hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armindo Mattos to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Arejas FC booed when Magalhaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball.
