Gildo Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agenor Pitta in the 4th minute of the match. Tomás da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcisio Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Agenor Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Clemente Peres took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gildo Maia to make any attempt to save it. In the 22nd minute, Raí Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Natã Linhares sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Inhahy's Gildo Maia didn't even have to move. Agenor Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Inhahy's zone, Clemente Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gildo Maia came out of the goal and Clemente Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Agenor Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerobas EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agenor Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reinaldo Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Peres got free with Gildo Maia in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gildo Maia made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Clemente Peres sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Inhahy booed when Cerobas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 53 played minutes Inhahy got a freekick which was hit by Raí Jacinto. 54 minutes into the match, Inhahy's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Peres came free, but Gildo Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes, Elói Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inhahy and the Cerobas EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Inhahy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Cerobas EC a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Natã Linhares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Inhahy's Gildo Maia. 2-1. Reinaldo Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Cerobas EC's Luís Gustavo Guerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gildo Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st match minute, Cerobas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute of the game, Inhahy got a penalty. The Inhahy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. If Clemente Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inhahy's Raí Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
