Valdemar Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Matorin in the 22nd minute of the match. Amauri Schmidt made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Osvaldinho Cearense sent off a good shot on target. When Elano Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Sport Club Indaiatuba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elano Pimenta couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Osvaldinho Cearense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amauri Schmidt. That made the score 2-1 in the 30 minute of play. After 33 minutes, Délio Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sport Club Indaiatuba and the Aruma SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Aruma SC booed when Sport Club Indaiatuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Osvaldinho Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club Indaiatuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 played minutes Aruma SC got a freekick which was hit by Nico Martins. Valdemar Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

61 minutes into the match, Aruma SC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Cearense came free, but Amauri Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Sport Club Indaiatuba's Cássio Bittencourt seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cássio Bittencourt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sport Club Indaiatuba protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cássio Bittencourt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 71st minute, one of Sport Club Indaiatuba:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sport Club Indaiatuba. Amauri Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match, Silas Moreira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valdemar Marinho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 84th minute, Silas Moreira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Valdemar Marinho, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Matorin in the 88th minute of play forced Sport Club Indaiatuba's goalkeeper Valdemar Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldinho Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Amauri Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Elano Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Osvaldinho Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amauri Schmidt. Aruma SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldinho Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Aruma SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sport Club Indaiatuba.
