Osmar Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Mineiro in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Ariquemes's Otávio Gerber got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When Dylan Vrancken came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Futebol Clube FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dylan Vrancken couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Fausto do Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles Meireles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 46th minute, Otávio Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Charles Meireles. Futebol Clube FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dalmo Branco to make the kick off.
