Wilian de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Egídio Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Fausto Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Pontes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Armindo França struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Fausto Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GE Sul Brasil. 10 minutes into the match, Sabayon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Abraão came free, but Fausto Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Abraão in the 16th minute of play forced Sabayon FC's goalkeeper Fausto Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GE Sul Brasil's Gualter Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Gualter Valladares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Fausto Cosme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Egídio Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. GE Sul Brasil's supporters rose to their feet, but Egídio Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the match, GE Sul Brasil's Gualter Valladares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto Cosme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fausto Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When Gualter Valladares came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the GE Sul Brasil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualter Valladares couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jean de Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. When Egídio Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the GE Sul Brasil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Abraão couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Gualter Valladares put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fausto Cosme. Fausto Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Abraão in the 57th minute of play. Gualter Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Cosme having to interfere. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gualter Valladares sped through Sabayon FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fausto Cosme. A collision led to GE Sul Brasil getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Nilson Brito hit a great ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Gualter Valladares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sabayon FC's Fausto Cosme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th minute, Nilson Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Gualter Valladares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GE Sul Brasil fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Vito Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Fausto Cosme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gualter Valladares's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Sabayon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Abraão came free, but Fausto Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The GE Sul Brasil fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sabayon FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
