Douglas Campidelis started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Tariiman AD getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Daniel de Almeida hit a great ball. With his leg Silas Moraes managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Tariiman AD's Paulo José Martins fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fred Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breno Lopes during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Tariiman AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vereda EC:s goal. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Vereda EC. Pedro Luís de Medeiros stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving José Maria Brito. 0-1. Douglas Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. José Maria Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tariiman AD's Breno Lopes got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Douglas Campidelis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. José Maria Brito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Renan Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Brito having to interfere. In the 27th minute Douglas Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Maria Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Ortiz in the 28th minute of play. When Vereda EC's Douglas Campidelis in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Douglas Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. José Maria Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Maria Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guga Neto was the one to do the kick off. Renan Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute of the match, Douglas Campidelis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Maria Brito saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Renan Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Vereda EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Ortiz couldn't finish the play. After 62 played minutes, Vereda EC's Pedro Luís de Medeiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Maria Brito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vereda EC reached it. A collision led to Tariiman AD getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. João Carlos dos Santos hit a great ball. Renan Ortiz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Maria Brito firmly grabbed it by the left post. Vereda EC's Renan Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Maria Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Campidelis in the 69th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Tariiman AD's goalkeeper José Maria Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renan Ortiz. In the 75th minute of the match, Renan Ortiz got a very nice opportunity to score, but José Maria Brito was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. João Carlos dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, Belmiro Rossi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vereda EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tariiman AD the free kick. In the 79th match minute, Vereda EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Rossi to maneuver through the defense. After 83 minutes, João Carlos dos Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tariiman AD and the Vereda EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 minutes, Dalmo Paiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tariiman AD and the Vereda EC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
