The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valério Cardozo was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Brazilia FC's Rui Seco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adalmo Donato. Adalmo Donato yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. A sloppy throw-in by Edgar Ramalho in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by CAIPIRENSE's Emílio Machado. After a defensive mix-up in Brazilia FC's zone, Raúl Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Santana came out of the goal and Raúl Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 59 played minutes CAIPIRENSE got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto Miranda. Luiz Fernando Pires charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
