In the 4th minute, Beto Cordeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nilmar de Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Longos's Jairo da Cunha got a free kick in the 7th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Donato during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jairo da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Dias having to interfere. Baltazar Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beto Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Fenix Negra Fc defense, Baltazar Peixoto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Dias. The Fenix Negra Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Dias should have stopped the shot. If Jean Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olívio Varela's late challenge caught a Fenix Negra Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olívio Varela helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Olívio Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltazar Peixoto to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Fenix Negra Fc's zone, Jairo da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Dias came out of the goal and Jairo da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute Baltazar Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wellington Mendonça in the 69th minute of the match. Jairo da Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Longos getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Gugu Jacinto hit a great ball. Jairo da Cunha struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Nestor Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Longos. Nestor Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo da Cunha in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Beto Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Nilmar de Amorim. Longos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Beto Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Fenix Negra Fc's Jean Pitta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nilmar de Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fenix Negra Fc had played much better football throughout.
