Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Frederico Sergipano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doni Mazza went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Charles Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Sergipano in the 8th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Doni Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederico Sergipano was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 11th minute, Samuel Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caxambu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 13 minutes into the match, Curupasse's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Amorim came free, but Frederico Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Samuel Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frederico Sergipano. Curupasse's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuel Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 23 minutes into the game, Caxambu's Samuel Amorim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frederico Sergipano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Luisão Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Charles Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Caxambu's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Nóbrega came free, but Charles Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Caxambu's zone, Rubinho Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Carneiro came out of the goal and Rubinho Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Curupasse's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Amorim came free, but Frederico Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisão Sergipano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doni Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisão Sergipano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Caxambu's Doni Mazza in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curupasse's goalie prevented a goal. After 58 minutes, Rubinho Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curupasse and the Caxambu players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Caxambu booed when Curupasse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Rubinho Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curupasse's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 64 minutes, Rubinho Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curupasse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubinho Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Curupasse getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Cipriano Terra hit a great ball. Frederico Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doni Mazza's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Samuel Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rubens Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes of play, Curupasse's Lino Matorin made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charles Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th match minute, Caxambu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Martins to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Caxambu's zone, Luisão Sergipano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Carneiro came out of the goal and Luisão Sergipano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rubinho Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Novaes's late challenge caught a Caxambu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Novaes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Curupasse getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Donato Novaes hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Curupasse lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
