In the 7th minute, Gorino's Leonardo Alagoano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Pebra EC's Bebeto Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Pebra EC from getting a goal against them. Gorino's Valério Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Moreira in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gorino's goalkeeper Valério Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Leonardo Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Armando Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Pebra EC's Bebeto Novaes got control of the ball when David Trancoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Samuca Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pebra EC's protests and gave Samuca Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pebra EC's Samuca Moreno got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 44th minute, David Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 45 minutes, Leonardo Alagoano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gorino and the Pebra EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

53 minutes into the game, Leonardo Alagoano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bebeto Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With 57 minutes on the clock, Flávio Faustino commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Gorino a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hugo de Sena, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pebra EC's Bebeto Novaes. 3-0. In the 63rd minute, Armando Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the game, Rômulo Faria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pebra EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gorino the free kick. Rômulo Faria hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Alagoano in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bebeto Novaes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arthur Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gorino's David Trancoso, in the 89th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Gorino. Leonardo Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 95 minutes, Leonardo Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gorino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 97 played minutes Pebra EC got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Dias. Gorino walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
