Esperança Football Club's Luis Mejía played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Sá in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Leonardo de Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Hugo Baiano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Américo Urbano. The goal made the score 1-1. After 43 minutes, Ediberto Barreto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esperança Football Club and the Biguacu SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Américo Urbano made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Leonardo de Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Haroldo Schmidt was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Biguacu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo de Azevedo came free, but Américo Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizão de Lara during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luizão de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Leonardo de Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Américo Urbano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. William Cabral's late challenge caught a Esperança Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 78 minutes, Leonardo de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esperança Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo de Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Gernando de Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esperança Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Biguacu SC the free kick. A collision led to Esperança Football Club getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Gernando de Medeiros hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, Biguacu SC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
