Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fausto Breckenfeld started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fellipe Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Valladares in the 4th minute of the match. Délio Valladares might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fellipe Sampaio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Délio Valladares ran back to his position shaking his head. When Fausto Breckenfeld came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Cuiari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Breckenfeld couldn't finish the play. Juvenal Vasconcelos charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juvenal Vasconcelos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bacaina getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Juvenal Vasconcelos hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Breckenfeld in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerson Cardozo saved Bacaina from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Breckenfeld in the 19th minute of play forced Bacaina's goalkeeper Gerson Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes, Ulysses Motta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bacaina and the Cuiari players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Bacaina got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Motta. Renato Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Cardozo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cuiari's zone, Germano Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fellipe Sampaio came out of the goal and Germano Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After recieving a nice pass, Bacaina's Hélder Ramos tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Fausto Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Gerson Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Délio Valladares to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Délio Valladares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Renato Prestes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The long shot by Júlio Prata in the 64th minute really tested Gerson Cardozo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gerson Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Renato Prestes sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 66 minutes, Fausto Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuiari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Cuiari's Fausto Breckenfeld ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gerson Cardozo. Gerson Cardozo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Fellipe Sampaio came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Bacaina's Délio Valladares. But to his dismay, Délio Valladares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Fellipe Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Recife in the 82nd minute of play. Renato Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Gerson Cardozo made a huge save.
