Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alberto Fontes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Orlando Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the game, Wanderson Paraense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jonas Furlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 8 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Barreto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Pinheirinho's Jonas Furlan. Jonas Furlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Sassego's zone, Orlando Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião de Mendonça came out of the goal and Orlando Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matías Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Paulão Galvão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastião de Mendonça skillfully saved the ball. Orlando Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Sebastião de Mendonça made a huge save. Daniel Loyola struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Sebastião de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinheirinho. Orlando Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Sebastião de Mendonça made a huge save. Sebastião de Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Daniel Loyola sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, Pinheirinho's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Fontes came free, but Jonas Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matías Messias was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 36 played minutes Sassego got a freekick which was hit by Matías Messias. Sassego's Rodriguinho Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Orlando Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sebastião de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Francisco Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Furlan having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Palmeira made a kick off. Daniel Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldinho Vinhas during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Ronaldinho Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sassego's Sebastião Garcia got a free kick in the 56th minute. Daniel Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Palmeira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastião de Mendonça having to make a save. Sebastião de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Gláuber Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Palmeira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastião de Mendonça having to make a save. Sassego were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Pinheirinho's much stronger midfield.
