Aluísio Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Carneiro in the 14th minute of play. Parapui SC's Geraldo Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cléber de Sena in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murilo Melo saved Alencar from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Alencar's zone, Danilo Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Melo came out of the goal and Danilo Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 28 minutes, Manuel Severo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alencar and the Parapui SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geraldo Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 31 minutes on the clock, Paulo Renato Tavares commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Alencar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Parapui SC:s goal. Cléber de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Murilo Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murilo Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Baptista in the 43rd minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Cléber de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parapui SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléber de Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cléber de Sena was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, João Adolfo Valadares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Aluísio Breckenfeld was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Simão Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aluísio Breckenfeld having to interfere. A collision led to Parapui SC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Paulo Prata hit a great ball. Simão Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Chicão Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parapui SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chicão Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alencar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Danilo Baptista scored to the left of an out of position Murilo Melo, making the score, 1-2. If Danilo Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Paulo Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parapui SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Murilo Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Baptista in the 77th minute of play. When Parapui SC's Cléber de Sena in 78 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Murilo Melo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Geraldo Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Simão Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alencar's Murilo Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Alencar from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Paulo Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murilo Melo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cléber de Sena in the 93rd minute. Murilo Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geraldo Sarmento went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Alencar fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Parapui SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
