Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Aribao's Sabino Schmidt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Luís Guilherme Alves fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aribao's protests and gave Luís Guilherme Alves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Borborema SS booed when Aribao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute of the match André dos Santos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovani Fonseca skillfully saved the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Aribao's goalkeeper Geovani Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Francisco Fontes. Ramón Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Borborema SS booed when Aribao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlindo Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cauan de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute, Fiori Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramón Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson de Alcântara in the 23rd minute of play. Aribao's Geovani Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Fontes in the 25th minute of play. In the 31st minute, João Francisco Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Geovani Fonseca managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Borborema SS's João Francisco Fontes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Aribao's Geovani Fonseca got control of the ball when João Francisco Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If João Francisco Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aribao's Geovani Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Aribao from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Wilson de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramón Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilson de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. Aribao's Wilson de Alcântara managed to work through Borborema SS's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wilson de Alcântara dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If João Francisco Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Aribao's zone, Ulisses Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Fonseca came out of the goal and Ulisses Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If João Francisco Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 62 minutes, Wilson de Alcântara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aribao and the Borborema SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Aribao's Wilson de Alcântara got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Aribao's Geovani Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Fontes in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, one of Aribao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aribao. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Borborema SS. André dos Santos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Geovani Fonseca. 1-0. Ulisses Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Francisco Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Geovani Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovani Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiori Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 82 minutes in the game, João Francisco Fontes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabino Schmidt in the 87th minute of play forced Borborema SS's goalkeeper Ramón Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson de Alcântara got free with Ramón Esteves in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Aribao's Wilson de Alcântara in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borborema SS's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, João Francisco Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borborema SS's supporters rose to their feet, but João Francisco Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovani Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Borborema SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
