The supporters of Palmitinho SS booed when Cupe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8thth minute of the game Patrício Pombal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palmitinho SS's Carlos Fernando Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dênis Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Cupe's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Mendonça came free, but Rodrigo Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beto Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Aguiar having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Cupe's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Mendonça came free, but Rodrigo Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Ramalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Fernando Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Palmitinho SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dênis Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palmitinho SS's Carlos Fernando Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Palmitinho SS from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute Dênis Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cupe's Rodrigo Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Mendonça in the 74th minute of play. Patrício Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cupe's Vítor Fantini got a free kick in the 81st minute. Horácio Lopez, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rodrigo Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Cupe's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Queirós came free, but Rodrigo Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Cupe's Patrício Pombal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Fernando Antunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute Beto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Palmitinho SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
