Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eusébio Guimarães took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mazinho da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Luisão Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romário de Brito having to make a save. If Eusébio Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Paulo Simão got free with Romário de Brito in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Juarês Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castanarana SS's protests and gave Juarês Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Castanarana SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Luisão Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Eusébio Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romário de Brito having to make a save. After 41 played minutes SOBERANOS UNITED FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Veloso. Castanarana SS's Eusébio Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ivo da Silva made the kick off in the second half. Romário de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 54 minutes into the match, Eusébio Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romário de Brito. SOBERANOS UNITED FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 62 minutes, João Paulo Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castanarana SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Simão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SOBERANOS UNITED FC's Betão Cabral got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 67 played minutes Castanarana SS got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Alvarenga. 73 minutes into the game, Fábio Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castanarana SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SOBERANOS UNITED FC the free kick. Ivo da Silva struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Luisão Lira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SOBERANOS UNITED FC. Luisão Lira made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Luís Eduardo Veloso sent off a good shot on target. João Paulo Simão might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romário de Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Paulo Simão ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes into the game, Eusébio Guimarães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Romário de Brito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Castanarana SS's Luisão Lira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Castanarana SS from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute Ivo da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SOBERANOS UNITED FC's Romário de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Simão in the 88th minute of play. When Agostinho Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castanarana SS's protests and gave Agostinho Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. Agostinho Nunes hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivo da Silva in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisão Lira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Eduardo Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Castanarana SS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
