In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jatina's goalkeeper Acácio Paranaense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Jatina's César Gerber slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Duarte Mesquita. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. If Percy Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilmar Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Duarte Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jatina's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandinho Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Acácio Paranaense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Gerber made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Gilmar Garcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taboao SS's Duarte Mesquita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Giovanni Fantini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Paranaense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Gilmar Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Duarte Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Taboao SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Jatina a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Júlio Bezerra, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Taboao SS's Duarte Mesquita. 3-1. Acácio Paranaense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percy Saraiva in the 73rd minute. Gilmar Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Mesquita having to interfere. Taboao SS's Duarte Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Gerber in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Jatina's César Gerber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duarte Mesquita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 100 minutes into the match, Taboao SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Garcia came free, but Duarte Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Taboao SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jatina.
