Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Branco EC's Moisés Salgado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Aredo defense, Anísio Carioca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anderson Velloso. The Aredo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anderson Velloso should have stopped the shot. Anísio Carioca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Anderson Velloso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Moisés Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Branco EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Moisés Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anderson Velloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Branco EC booed when Aredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anísio Carioca succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 26th playminute. Anderson Velloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moisés Salgado's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Moisés Salgado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anderson Velloso. The goal made the score 3-0. Anísio Carioca struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Anderson Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Branco EC. When Anísio Carioca came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Branco EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anísio Carioca couldn't finish the play. Anderson Velloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guto Travassos went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Maria Tinoco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Maria Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Kaká Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Anísio Carioca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anderson Velloso. Aredo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anísio Carioca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Felippe Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kaká Quirino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. The Anderson Velloso was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moisés Salgado in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anderson Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Aredo's zone, Anísio Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anderson Velloso came out of the goal and Anísio Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moisés Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anderson Velloso having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Branco EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
